After AI & Blockchain Summit and Christmas holidays we continue to share with you interesting and useful stuff in the innovation world.

Several years ago, Catalonia created and officially presented the strategy of blockchain implementation that is able to transform Catalonia to e-government and startup friendly region.

InnMind took initiative to support this activity and organised a meeting between Daniel Marco, Director General for Innovation and Digital Economy at Government of Catalonia, and our partner Cointelegraph, top-tier media in the blockchain and crypto space, to learn about how Catalonia builds the digital government and moves towards startup-friendly jurisdiction.

In this interview, Daniel Marco describes in details how the Catalonian government understands the implementation of AI & Blockchain technologies and his view on the impact of such implementation.

Here are some interesting facts about startup environment in Catalonia:
- No. 5 in funds raised in Europe: Startups in Barcelona received €2,509M from 2015 to 2019 according to the government of Catalonia

- The world’s most popular international conference city: the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) states that Barcelona was the best-attended conference city in the world last year, as it welcomed 135,000 delegates
